Default C1/C2/C3 aerodynamic comparison

Last summer or spring, someone here posted a chart showing all the Cd, frontal area, lift forces on the various Corvette generations, and I cannot locate it.

Does anyone recall what thread that was in, or where it was linked to?

Thanks,
Doug

Here is a picture of Mickey Thompson's 1963 ZO6 at Bonneville in 1964. He reached a speed of 158.45 mph on Sears/Allstate bies street tires.
The 63 was a mostly stock 375HP/327. We restored it in 1995 and sold it in 2003. I wish I still had it.
Another Sting Ray, the Scace-Hirsch Corvette out of Oak Park IL. ran 176.61 mph in the same class that year.

Serious front end lift in that pic. I see from the charts that I have enuf RWH to go about 190, if I had the right gearing. I don't think I will try it...

I remember my 66 with no bumpers(lighter) would get real scary at 100mph and up, above 110 you could move the wheel back and forth and get hardly any change of direction! Front spoiler brought it in for a landing.

If the M/T disaster at the 1964 Indy 500 hadn't happened, he might have gotten the long-lasting Sears endorsement deal that Penske landed a few years later.

With a front air dam and tail high stance, my 66 feels better above 85mph and at triple digits than it does at lower speeds.

and the auxiliary headlamps allow me to run without the drag of Sting Ray headlamps.
