Shifter boot replacement
My Richmond 5 sp transmission {Long} shifter boot is getting a bit ragged and torn. I've tried contacting Richmond with no results.
Anyone got a line on where I can get a replacement shifter boot?

The Long shifter has a rectangular shaft versus the old Muncie shifter. I believe I have the old Muncie boot on the Long shifter (converted over 10 years ago). I'm trying to tighten up on the shifter boot opening and eliminate the 'square peg in a round hole' effect
Maybe another style/make of boot is more appropriate?

Maybe another style/make of boot is more appropriate?I see what you are saying, I have a Hurst Comp running thru the hole. It is as you say not a great fit. However it can be made better by using a small black ziptie to resolve it. That's what I did anyway.. Let us know what you find.

I have made a couple for other vehicles from black leather, a hole punch and black boot lace. It was easy and looks cool. You could even use a hot glue gun.
