Previous Owner Search
I bought a 67 roadster with a salvage title last month. Didn't care much about the history till I started researching the #'s. The car appears to be a matching #'s car. When I pulled the body off the frame it still had the frame numbers and they appear to be original! I need advise on how to find the original owner. Since it was salvage I don't have much to go on.

You can try this:
http://www.nmvtis.gov/ for a few bucks...but indeed with the privacy laws and record retention policies its tough. Many states now expunge records older than 10 years that aren't active....
