Rams horns
I have a zz4 using rams horns. I just bought some new centerbolt valve covers and the drivers side won't go on without loosening the exhaust manifold about 1/2". The drivers side manifold seems to have 4 "nubs" that interfere with the valve cover lip.
Why were these cast into the manifold and can I grind them off? I don't think that they are on both sides...but I will check. Maybe a post a photo as well...

Can't tell you why they're there, but you can sure 'nuf grind them off, though the surface won't match afterwards. You'll have smooth spots, but it'll be easier to remove and install the valve covers. Good luck.
