Don't have the thump the spinner/worry it's not on quite right. That's enough reason for me. I love 'em, and have gotten a LOT of compliments, from Vette guys and more.

I had real knock offs on my 63 and always worried about them coming loose. Eveything was good with the new ones. They look great , VV had a good price and shipped quickly .

Are the adapters used with the old wheels or do you have to start over and buy new wheels, spinners?

Based on the responses, I don't think anyone is using the adapter I posted.....This allows you to bolt on factory knock offs(spinner type)...while still remaining the appearance.

I have these on my 63 they work great. I know some don't think they look original enough but I think they look great. The adaptors are easy install. Just bolt on the wheels, bolt on the adaptors, put on spinners, pin and cap, you're done.

How can you tell they don't look original if everything is covered?

The look of the wheel itself not the adaptor.

Yes, they do look strange. Kind of heavy looking, not detailed enough.

They do look heavy - what is suppose to be their advantage over the original style adaptor???

Lucky, yes, to answer your question, I am using the adapter as you show (Corvette America). They work fine. Best Regards. Vetterway

They must be stainless then? Not sure I'm too crazy about stainless adaptor threads and regular steel spinners. Sounds like a possibility for galling - hence the sticker on the end to be sure and use anti-sieze lubricant I guess.

That adapter is for use with the DIRECT-BOLT KO wheels, not for real KO wheels; wheel goes on first, then the adapter, then the spinner.

So the original poster should have asked if you are using direct bolt ko wheels cause the adapter is useless otherwise?

That's what I have and its for real KO wheels where the spinner and lead hammer hold the wheel on.
