After the death of his son Zeus in a motorcycle accident, Tom sold the Paramount, California diff and axle business and moved to Idaho over 10 years ago.
Perhaps the people who bought Tom's have changed the name or gone out of business?

OH MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not know Zeus was his son!
Years ago, when Tom's was still in CA, I used to buy some posi parts from Zeus. I knew that he was killed and I have since done a little business with Tom in Idaho, but nothing was ever mentioned about them being Father-Son! DANG!
Tom was born on October 5, 1950 in Long Beach, California. Tom had a wonderful life growing up in California in the ‘50’s and ‘60’s. Forty-three years ago he started Tom’s Differentials in Paramount, California. Tom worked long days in order to build a successful business. He learned through hard work and paying attention. He eventually moved Tom’s Differentials to Ponderay, Idaho, which is where he considered home. He left behind his wife Jo Anne, many loving family members and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. What the world has lost heaven has gained.
I just bought a HD outer axle kit and other parts from Tom's last year. I believe his wife (widow) is running the business now, but don't quote me on that.
I know nothing about Tom's differentials business. But I have been burned twice by businesses that once had a good reputation but were quietly failing by the time I got involved with them. It happens. Caveat emptor.
Run by Jo and Desiree. They still have the 12 bolt conversion parts, which requires hand and machine fitment. They are doing a great job continuing on what Tom built up. No, they don't build units anymore but I have worked with them on part review and their parts are still good. They stand behind their name and products, I have had no concern when I need 12 bolt conversions, 10 bolt parts, etc.
Now if you know how to correctly build a vette 12 bolt is a different story, If you have tech questions they will refer them to me.
The web site worked the last time I used it, they answer the phone and respond to emails- give them a shot.
