Anyone have any experience with these guys? They are out of NC.

I am thinking about either a 383 or 408 for my 66. Any issues with swapping in a crate motor?

Thanks!

I have their 383 stroker. It's the A3 if you go on their web site.

Do a search on any Cobra forum and you'll have plenty of reading to do. Some love T&L, many have had nothing but problems with them. One thing for sure, don't order during NASCAR season as that is their #1 priority and you'll be waiting forever (regardless of what Lloyd tells you). If you live close, go there and talk to them. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

There are plenty more out there like this thread.

And you will get the same kinds of stories from all the other engine builders. OR...maybe I was just lucky. My motor has had zero problems, got it in 3 weeks, runs like a bat out of heck. Lloyd is sometimes hard to get to but if you ever talk to him, he's a great guy. But you are somewhat correct, it's a crap shoot with engine builders.

I don't believe Loyd is doing any NASCAR engines as thats why he is building street and strip engines. Those smaller shops went out years ago when the cup shops needed more because of the one engine rule.
