Default Midyear's - What % today with Original Engine?

What percent of 1963-1967 Corvettes would you say exist today with their ORIGINAL ENGINE?
Small Block - What %?
Big Block - What %?

Please just give it your educated guess. This should be interesting!

If having the original 427 on a stand (to save it) and a replacement in the car, I'm in.

From my research, it's more like 175%.Many sellers consider "date correct" as proof enough.

I'm going to hazard a guess, based on the facts that these cars were raced and rodded, abused and used hard, by their very nature........25% original block at present......?

Interesting thread.
Like the above post I would agree that 25% is a reasonable assumption.

My 65 has its original engine.....

My only two midyears are 65 and 67, both base motors. The 67 has the original block. The 65 has a matching numbers block that I put in, and after that found the original block 800 miles away. So I guess that's 150% by one definition, 100% by another.

I've in the 25% club of original small block engines (she's mothballed on a rollaround engine stand).

I've owned two BB cars - one with original engine and one without. So I guess 50% is a logical answer on that basis. Probably too high.
