Default C5 Seat Question

I ordered my new C5 seat covers today. All white to match my interior. I've got a pair of C5 sport seats I picked up a year ago that I've already addressed the mounting challenges.

I can't wait to try them out on a permanent basis. I'll keep my original C2 seats as an option to go back.

One question for anyone who's done the switch... do you need to have the "release" lever on the back of the headrest? Our C2 seats don't "lock" in place and I think they would look better without the lever back there. I'v already figured out how to lower it below the deck lid, but I'm thinking of just eliminating it. If I do, the seat back will tilt forward like a C2 seat.

Thoughts????

I had the top of the seats shaved a bit and moved the lever to the side. Check out Jeff Cleary's seats. He sent me a few pictures and I had my upholstery shop modify my seats to match. I can forward you a few pics if you would like. Good luck!
