Got my sticker from them, they do a nice job. They also have a huge database of zone/dealer information that they have to help you out if you don't know the original dealer but have the dealer # on the tank sticker or whatever. PT
Let me tell you what I did...I ordered a laminated one plus a couple of extra ones from triple A. I poured coffee grounds on one copy. After it was dry, I took it to Quik Copy and had them laminate it. When I would go to shows, I would masking tape the coffee stained version to the side window and watched the tourists marvel. They loved my car...but spent a lot time studying the window sticker.
Any corvette person who happened by and asked about it...to those people I would tell them it was a repro. They wanted to know how they could get one.

I do the same...no coffee stains needed....gets plenty of attention.
I make no pretense that's its the original sticker to Corvette people or anyone else...nostalgia purposes only.
Thats right members, I'm not out to fool anyone with the sticker , there just cool looking, I'm lucky enough to have the warranty book and Protecto-Plate. Thanks for all your help again. Ditch
I got one for my 66 chevelle and it looks brand new as it is. but every single person thinks its the real deal. and most of the time they have no clue they make repros
Sent what was left of mine to window-sticker.com and they got it close. They were able to decifer my copy (long legal story) and were able to confirm all the way to the second last didgit. They just couln't confim the last so we took a stab at it.
Close enough for me.

Its just interesting to folks to see that a hopped up, new '61 vette cost right at $5,000 and then they reflect a minute and realize that was serious money to a working man back in '61. And then the hardtop option was a few hundred bucks and now its like $6,000 for a restored hardtop (more than the original entire car!).
I dont want to start a controversy here, but I might. I understand and have no problems with getting repro stickers for your car. I will probably do it when I get mine. However, I do think they should say REPRODUCTION on the sticker. In the petroliana hobby, reproductions such as globes and signs are marked as such (by honest reproducers). This helps preserve the value of originals and prevents people from being duped.
As most know, I am a new guy to the corvette world. It almost broke my heart to tell a nice older man selling his corvette that his window sticker was just a reproduction. He had thought that his sidepipes were original to the car and was very proud of the fact that he had the window sticker. The sidepipes were added later and the sticker was a repro. He was a really nice guy that was duped by the sticker when he bought the car. He had no idea that they are reproduced, and he paid top dollar for the car because of it.
As I said, I am not against people doing this, I just think that they should be clearly marked as reproductions. I am interested in what this forum thinks.

but it will never happen. thankfully the makers of the window stickers wont make one for a really rare car like a L88 or L89 with out real GM docs. so they are helping a little. but the bottom line the buyer of any old car needs to do his homework. if more people would research and hire someone that knows more then them it would help a lot. buyer beware

Like copies of famous paintings have REPRODUCTION emblazoned across them ?..ruins the entire effect. If anybody is naive enough to believe that my bright white, pristine looking sticker with the bright blue ink is the original from 1/2 century ago then they should ask me about it and I'll straighten them out.
If somebody is going to 'fake' one then putting REPRODUCTION on the copies honest people purchase isn't going to change a thing.

I think they're cool but there IS something to what you say.
Were window stickers even in use in 1956? I see on their website they only go back to 1959...
Window stickers didn't start showing up until congress passed a law. I was guessing for 1958, but it must have been 1959. I have my dad's 1955 Chevy sales invoice and that's all a customer got. Must have been a bit hard to shop for a car back then-not knowing what was standard or optional equipment. They even charged a few bucks for permanent anti-freeze.
Patrick, you should have had Triple A include your Ident # on the sticker, to the right of the dealers name.
