Default C-2 console

Did anyone see the C-2 console on Ecklers website. Includes a cupholder as well as some storage. I always wish that I had room for a coffee or a place to put my cell or cd's. (glovebox has stereo unit) The unit looks nice, expensive, but nice. Seems like it might be too high.

I think it's just a plastic insert that goes over the console and not the entire console as a unit.

No, this is different. It comes in colors to match the interior of the car. Has one cup holder in the front as well as a console behind with a lid that lifts to expose a small storage area.

Here's a link to the website with the console . . . .

http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...6&dept_id=1639

Looks a little trashy to me, but I'm more for originality, I guess. Also seems a little pricey at $160 plus shipping, I'd suppose . . . .

Definitely pricey for sure! I think that George (BlackMagic) made one that looked really nice you may want to look at his website for ideas.

Appears from that ad that it only comes in Black. They state red was only shown for ad, not possible to other interior colors.

Unfortunately the size of the cupholder opening does not appear wide enough to hold a scotch and soda in a rock's glass. Why have it ?

Ray,

You know you're not supposed to drive and drink! You need to drink, then drive! Then no cup holder is necessary.

i gotta say....it is a super armrest and well made with good storage compartment...downside...you have to shift with your wrist and that's ok with the tko but a longer throw muncie may be a hassle...it removes easily but you cant use the seat belt holders.....that's why i had to granny shift when i took hogan for a ride.....

Naw, they come in various colors, but the illustration is available only in red. I just happened to post the link to the page for the black one, they're other pages for ordering the other colors.

Hey Frank, that looks like it would be more appropriate for an automatic, kinda like an armchair. If they had of cut the front down about 2 inches, shifting might be all right,....and switch to plastic bud, if you hit a bump you'll be pickin' glass outa yo butt. Nice wheel.R

come to think of it, it would be ideal for an auto car....it is the perfect height though...i will try it for a while...i really like it except for the wrist shifting but i guess you can get used to anything....no way could you comfortably power shift this thing ......wifey likes it for her girly b@lls@it, too small for a hairspray can, thank the vette gods!!...

The clear overlay unit is about 50 bucks and is acceptable as a temp item. Then theres just the cup holder that hangs on the side.

Hell I just want a place to put my beer.. I put it between my legs and when I get the car sideways the can wants to slid up and dump in my lap. I was thinking about one of those boat koozies.. You know the ones that are gimbled? That way no matter which way I turn or no matter how fast I take off the thing will stay stable....
