54 corvette project
HI.... just bought a 54 vette. Most all fiberglass parts are there. Windshield frame and some chrome missing. Any info or lead to some of these parts would be appreciated. Have posted in the parts forum also

There's a gentleman in northern California look under 53-57 corvette parts. I always preferred dealing with him whenever he has the necessary parts. Good guy and about as reasonable as I've found.

Finding the parts is not difficult. A little pricey on some of them but just be patient and take your time.
I can help on the parts finding as well. Glad to help. I restore about two 53-55's a year. Just PM me for my email address.

If you are not in a rush, you can find what you need on ebay over the next few months - this would be the best price option. Just keep doing searches every few days for the following words in the title: corvette windshield (53,54,55,1953,1954,1955). You can buy it in pieces and restore it and assemble it yourself, although windshield restoration is time-consuming, so you would need to be up to the challenge. Or you can buy a complete assembly, show quality, from Glassworks for $4,500. You might be able to get some of the chrome pieces from Corvette Central.
