Looking for opinions on the Flaming River and Ididit tilt steering columns for a 65. The Ididit appears to be significantly cheaper. Is it significantly lower quality?

Thanks
Tom

I used the Ididit column in my 55' Chevy Cameo P/U and it is a great QUALITY unit and you will have no problems with it.

IDIDIT is what I used in my 64. Happy I went with them no regrets! Much easier to enter and exit the car. Yes they were cheaper in price only than Flaming River.

Tom:

You can label yourself a cheap SOB if you want to but I consider you extravagant for that little visit you made to the heart hospital to see me a couple of weeks back.

You know I'm prejudiced on the Flaming River column since I have the prototype in my 63. I don't know about the Ididit columns as I have never used one. If it fits and works as well as my Flaming River the money is well saved.

When you coming back down? I will be driving in another couple of weeks and my lungs are now working at better than 60 per cent. Walking is much easier and I am actually getting out of the house on a pretty regular basis.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have to send you Get Well wishes, Rich. I wasn't aware you were sick. Rumor mill doesn't reach me over here. You're a stand up guy, and I wish you a quick recovery. You've helped me in the past, and I truly appreciate it.

No worries on the highjack. He certainly is a good guy and deserves all the "get well wishes" sent.

Glad to here you are feeling better! I knew a little thing like heart surgery wouldn't keep you down.

I think I will be down the last week of the month. I'm going to OCMD for Hot Rod weekend and I think I will drive the car down directly from there on Sunday. Then I'll work my home for the beach. Good plan eh?

I just put the steel one in the car but painted it the same black as the org one. Man I love it in the car & really have to look hard to tell any thing diff. I just put it at the higher setting all the time. I can really get in and out of the car fast with no problems, also nothing is in the way of any of the gauges as far as seeing everything.

I just put an Ididit tilt column in my 65' and it's great.
I also had a tour of their manufacturing facility and came away very impressed.
