Mershon's
That's my impression but I really don't know for sure.

Like Saturday, my wife wanted to go check on something in the next county and we took the Corvette. Weather forecast called for cloudy skys but no rain. I had seen a sprinkle in Indy earlier in the day, but when is the weather man ever wrong, with all of their expensive equipment??

I had told her before that these cars were known to leak in the rain, but she does not seem to recall that. But then she probably doesn't listen to my "car talk" in much detail, except how much is one going to cost.
Anyway, off we go with the top down, as we roll into Nashville, IN it is sprinkling, but we only got damp at the stop lights. Heading on to Bloomington it starts pouring, I stop at Brown County Park and we put the top up. Now we are dry, right??

Head out at 55 mph driving into a hard rain, guess that seal on top of the windshield is leaking a little??!! Good thing I brought two large bath towels.
Got pretty wet (even my left shoe was wet, maybe more leaks than on top of the windshield), we laughed a lot. Good time. I don't think she will agree to take it on next Route 66 trip, but I am still planning it.She said her 65 Mustang convertible never leaked, I said well this for sure is no FixOrRepairDaily. And proud of it!!
The fan has been blowing on it and it is about dry, no damage done and a good time had by all!!!
It is a good old car (but I still bring her to push it off of the road, AAA card, cell phone, fire extinguisher, tools, etc. on every trip).

Thanks Mershon's. Bob Williamson

Why would they waste my time and not correctly prep. a car for someone who traveled a few hundred miles with a trailer?
Really ticked me off, bull****ting *******s looking to make $$ and could care less about offering a safe reliable vehicle.

stickers,
EXACTLY our experience...more than once! You hit the nail on the head. Funny my wife and I used large towels to catch the big drips...didn't worry about the floor. These cars LEAK.
When we got back home I dropped the top and parked her out in the sun. At night in the garage I left a low watt trouble light on the floor to aid the dry out. Good as new. Just plan ahead on your trips for this kind of issue to happen. Right on about AAA, credit card and cell phone. Having your spouse to help with the pushing and mopping...PRICELESS!!
Overtime I've gone over all the door seals (made sure that triangle shaped rubber seal in the jam is truly glued down and the drain hole is exposed).
I'll see how my new top with all new weatherstripping (including the header) seals up. With the old top and seals, you would think I had a windmill across the header at anything above 30 mph

..some of these cars are not for the timid but i can say mershons sells a lot of them and they are honest in their approach...this is why you need to know what to expect and if you dont know your stuff, hire an expert to go over the cars and all the fine and rough points for you...jmo..good luck...

Should prospective buyers ask the Mershon's rep. the following:
- do the headlights work?
- do the headlight buckets work
- do the parking lights work
- do the brake lights work?
- does the emergency brake work
With a reasonable amount of certainty one would expect that safety systems noted above should be operational, especially when purchased from a dealer.
So, should I have dropped nearly $ 50K and thanked them for selling me the car?????
Can't say for sure if your number (70%) is correct or not but will confirm that my current 65 BB coupe fits within the 30% of midyears, which all mechanical systems are fully functional.

I've been around the hobby longer than this forum. Besides, I'm married. Can't get any more scared than that!
