Default 65 kick panel installation question

I have a 65 with power windows and the wire passing through the grommet going into the jam is in the way of installing my kick panel. There is not enough play in the wire to push it up out of the way. the way it looks now is the the panel and carpet would need to be slotted to fit over the wire. That does not seem correct. Any suggestions.

Thanks

Default Power windows

I rebuilt my P/W during a frame off on my 66. I don't remember having trouble with the wiring to the kick panels. I do remember that I had to move the wiring around on the green Zbar behind the glove box for extra room. The wires were held down by clips. Have you pulled the slack out of the wiring at the console where the switch resides? Jerry

Yes I have pulled the slack out of the wiring from the switch. I will check again to see if I can find some additional slack somewhere. Thanks for your help.
