Now that the engine is out of the 66 Coupe can someone help with decoding the numbers Please

Front Pad 6120592 FO22HT

I assume it's 3858174, which would be 64-67 327, and HT is the code for 327-350hp. Original engine to the car?

Hi Bill
There should be one more number in the engine assembly date. That's the F022HT number you posted. Could it be F0422HT. In the example I provided it would be F=Flint, 04=April, 22=day of the month and HT=code for 323/350HP

The 6120592 is the serial number. The 6 is the year 66. It would be the 20,592 built in 66.

The 3858174 block was only used in '66 in Corvettes.

Just did a quick check on Mortec's website and thats what it said, perhaps used in other models in earlier years??

The 8174 block had
lots of other applications from '64-'67 in Chevelle, passenger, Camaro, and trucks, but was only used in Corvettes in '66.
