Default New - Hello

Hi group. Just joined the page. I thought I'd share. My dad finally decided to 'pass the torch' as it where, he's got other projects to work on and so now I'm the primary caretaker of "the car". The car (1959) has been in my family since the mid 60s. My uncle, than my dad, now me where the owners. I'm in my early 40s, so I can never remember a time where I didn't know this car. It's changed over the years, Dad is a master mechanic and can do anything you'd imagine with a car and has acquired 2 shipping containers of parts over the years. Yes, that's an L98 in the car and it has a 700R4 transmission in it. I know the purest would cringe but the car has a lot of sentimental attachment to me and I like it just the way it is and I can't look at it without hearing my grandmother yelling at me to get away from it when I'd sneak out in the garage and peek under the cover it was under.

Very nice. No shame in that Vette.
Wish my parents had kept their Vettes and passed them on.53,60,62,64.
I had to buy my own. 81,79,65,63 in that order. I tend to do things backwards!

Nice to have you on board. You are one lucky SOB. Fine looking ride.

If your Dad has some other cars that he might need to pass on, tell him I am open for Adoption....

Default Welcome

Nice ride. Great looking picture. You'll enjoy the help you can get here. Nice story too, about the car staying in your family. My son and I have one of those going too, he is now the owner of a car I bought the year he was born, (he is now 38), and he'll be giving it to his son someday (if my grandson wants it)

Let's see, he's got a '56 Chevy, a '69 Plymouth fury, and his current project is a '35 ford pick up. I don't think he's looking for another son though...

Nice car. You should have asked your Grandmother to hop in the car and take you for a ride. Bob
