WCFB Identification
Hi, It has been a while..
I just picked up a Carter WCFB and have the following conflicting codes. Can anyone help me id this carbi. Numbers are as follows:
Tag 3779178, 3059S D8
Airhorn casting number: 6-1672
Main body casting #: 0-1241
The tag number suggests a 1960 corvette but the airhorn and main body conflist with the (easily changed tag). This is not a parts matching car but the look of originality is important.
I would also like to reject for a 327ci, can I buy a carbi kit and rejet if this was originally from a 283ci? If so what kit number do I need?

The tag is for a '60-'61 Corvette but the air horn is off a '63-'65 vette.
The main body is NOT from a vette.
You have a 'mutt' carb....it can probably be made to run fine. Typical carb rebuild kits for WCFBs do NOT have any jets. You may not need to anyway since at least parts of the carb are from 327 (C2 years).
I think its a case of try it and see what happens.
