I'd like to go. This is my first year owniing a C-2, so I'm anxious to see more cars.
Any suggestions as to where to stay? I'd be flying in and would want to stay near the event.
We have been there every year but the First year and we will be there this year. Our swap spot is H100-102. Stop in and say Hi. It's alway' nice to put a name with a face.

I'll be there - Al Grenning and I are presenting a GoldSchool seminar on pad stamps and documents Thursday morning.
If you don't have a hotel reservation already, suggest you go to the Bloomington Gold site (www.bloomingtongold.com) and start calling the hotels listed under "accommodations"; most people reserve at least six months in advance.

Just like usual Bill, your better half is working the booth while you're out playing!! We'll stop by and see ya again!!
70mph@2200rpm you might try the Comfort Inn and Suites about a block west of Pheasant Run. We were on their waiting list and they just called Friday with some openings. We passed since we already had found rooms at the resort. Comfort Suite number is: 630-587-6564.

Bill,
No problem, us "oldtimers" got to stick together!!
Dr L-88 I figured they probably had more on the waiting list but thought he might get lucky. I remember 2 years ago walking in and getting 2 rooms there on the Thursday of the show.
70mph@2200 there are tons of hotels in the area. You could just check for places with address on Rt 64. Back towards the interstate there are alot of them. As JohnZ suggested go to the Bloomington Gold website for the lodging and start with the ones closest and go out. You may also start a new post looking for a room on each generation here on the CF (C1&2, C3, C4, C5, C6 and C7). It seems the last couple weeks before any big Corvette show someone has rooms posted that they can't use. Good luck with your C2, you got the cream of the crop!! Of course I may be partial to the midyears. You'll have to ost what you got if you haven't already. Take care, Shooter
we will be there Thurdsay-Sunday.Getting the 390hp car judged for GOLD
Good luck Jim. It's always a crazy day. We got our Gold last year. Don't forget to take some water, (or what you need to drink) hat and sun screen on to the show field..
It's a shame that the put the show cars so far away from everything else!!!
