Default Flasher

I'm sorry for being the dumbest person on this site but can someone please show me the location of the flasher so I can get my turn signals to work. Thanks.

First you have to tell people what kind of car...if its a later C1 the flasher is in the fuse box.

And if it's a 63-67, it's clipped to the side of the center dash, on the driver's side radio cover panel. It is up high, near the bottom of the instrument cluster on the right side.

Default 64

The car is a 64 and I have removed the instrument cluster and the air duct on the side of the center dash but still no relay. The turn signal dash lights went on for the right and left blinker but would not flash. Is there something I'm missing?

That started in '65 - on '63-'64, the turn signal flasher plugged into the top corner of the fuse block.

I always put my head under the dash, turn the key on, put the signal on, and follow my ears. Pretty easy and works on all cars!

That might have worked in his case as well, but I think he'd have had to open his eyes as well and not depend upon his ears. With the flashers not flashing the turn signal lights there'd be no noise to listen for!

BTW, I'm assuming the replacement did cure your problem, daxmann.

Sorry, I was assuming open eyes, forgot about the not working part, still not hard to find with a light, they are all standard size and shape.

I suspected you were assuming his eyes were open as well, I just had to rib you a little. It's a slow Sunday here, not too much going on . . . . as you may have already suspected.

Hope you guys are having a little cooler weather today than we are here in southern Missouri, reaching the upper 90's here, approaching 100 F.
