Windshield Post Seals
When putting back on my weatherstrip on the 60 vette windshield, I went back with one seal under each post since that is what came off it. How do you know if this is all it needs. The package I received had quite a few in there.

There's actually some guesswork involved. I have 3 seals under each post. As you tighten down the 2 nuts that hold the post on the rubber will squeeze down considerably. I started with 2 seals then added the 3rd one which made it "look right".

True ... not an exact science....I used 2 on the '61.
I made a BIG mistake and squirted black butyl sealer between them and it squished out everywhere when I tightened things up...and the seals slid around and wound up crooked. So DON'T make the same mistake...
