Shifter Boot??
Hey whats up guys. My friend Bucky who owns a 1957 vette. Beautiful car! He just finished installing a tremec T5 transmission. His ? is, he is looking for a shifter boot to cover the shift handle. Would anyone know where he could purchase one. Looked everywhere and I decided to sign up here and give it a shot. Appreciate the help guys.

Joe, go up to the search option and punch in shifter boot, or Hurst shifter boot, and you'll get lots of choice. Redline makes leather ones for custom applications like your friends. Cheers.

A T5 would be very rare in a C1....a TKO-500/600 is much more common and a 1978 Volvo shift boot works well on the reproduction C1 shifter provided by Tremec. Use a 1978 Volvo 262 shifter boot (part # W0133-1632710) with a common rubber grommet (1-1/8” OD, 5/8” ID) at the top in the shifter shaft hole….looks good and works perfectly.
