Electrical Issues
When I turn on the directionals or step on the brake the fuel gauge goes wacky. Bad ground?
Do vettes use the frame as ground or is there a ground bus?

What year? If you have a 62 or older, then yes that is typical, and can be solved by adding a dedicated ground wire from the fuel sending unit to the frame.

Soldered a wire to the sending unit and ran it to the chassis. Gauge is stable now.
The other problem I'm having is the left directional indicator lights when I turn on the parking lights. Any ideas?

it's probably a bad ground at the front or rear sockets
if the indicator works otherwise (blinks when turn signal lever is used) it may be the switch
otherwise there is a panel lamp plugged into the cluster hole for the turn signal indicator
