Decided it would be a good morning for a drive. Pushed the car out of the garage, hooked up the trickle charged battery, rolled down the electric windows, turned the key and nothing (no click). Now the windows won't roll and the only thing that works is the clock (only when the doors are closed). 12.8 volts, checked and cleaned the "big red wire" connector on the engine side off the firewall - made no change. It's a 1965 FI with TI and pertronix converson.
Your thoughts please.
Thanks

If you have 12.8volts in the cabin (test at the lighter socket), the ignition key and the courtesy lamps shoud have 12volts too. If not, the big red wire is not passing 12volts to the cabin.
For the clock and windows problem it could be the body ground at the LH rocker, but the key switch passes 12volts to the starter solenoid without the need for a ground.
