Default Dash Paint

I read a lot of forums tonight about the type of paint for cluster and glove box, Krylon and SEM, but what about the actual dash and spearker grille, is it the same paint? Mine is Black, i bought a can of the Black Dye from C/A is this the right one for the dash?

I just did everything with DuplaColor Satin Black Lacquer, and it match the parts that were restored by a company. One of the online parts seller, sells what is listed as the factory paint.

Mark.

I just finished useing the Corvette America Dye (paint) on the dash and dash pads of my '65 coupe. I had the windshield out for replacement and this was the perfect time to spray them. It worked well except for spraying the horizontal portions when the spray nozzle would 'spit' droplets of extra paint. I tried 2 other nozzles with the same result. Good luck with yours.
