Default Alternator bracket bolt question

What type of bolt holds the top alternator bracket to the water pump on an L76? Is it a bolt with a stud? Mine has a standard type bolt that has lines on the upper shank just like those found on starter bolts.

It's an ordinary 3/8"-16 bolt, Grade 5, no knurled shank; it came as part of the engine and was removed and replaced when the brace was installed at St. Louis - nothing special about it.
