I have my dash completly removed from the car all gauges and parts are also removed. The dash needs some fresh paint I'm sure some of you have already done this what is the recommended type of paint. My interior is black not leather. Thanks for the help.

Lots of threads on this. Usually recommended is either Krylon or SEM semi-flat black paint, available in a lot of places. When I did mine, I also finished it with a semi-gloss clearcoat. Not "factory" but it provides a little more protection.

Default Paint

You should use the above paint for anything but the plastic dash. For the dash, try Duplicolor, Eastwood or MidAmerica. Clean the area well per the instructions and like all paint, prime with the correct primer. Jerry

I did my 63 last winter and got the dye from corvette america, I think I ordered from long island corvette and got the same thing.

Get it real clean prior to painting. I rigged up some heavy wire to hold it in the air so it could be sprayed all at once. I used a jamb gun.

Hope you were talking about the vinyl portion, if not ignore everything I just typed.
