Default Spring install ?

How the hell do I get them in. I have a 5/8 allthread to compress them the same way I took them out. My problem is getting the allthread through the shock mount hole and the spring. I would have to bend it like a banana. I can't use a floor jack like I did the first time I did it, because there is no weight on the frame. Shemp

When I did mine, I had the lower control arm disconnected from both the spindle and the frame.

Pull the spring and the lower control arm up with the threaded rod, when you get it close it's easy enough to bolt up the spindle and lower control arm to the frame.

Install the spring in upper pocket and lower control arm, make sure the upper is seated correctly. Install threaded rod through the shock mount hole, all the way through the lower control arm. Then you need to span the hole in the lower control arm with some angle iron or something and then tighten it up.

That is the problem you cant get it through the spring and the lower arm because of the angle of the shock mount hole. Shemp

Strap the frame to your floor jack so it provides the same effect as being heavy. Be careful. These things can go bad in a hurry.
