It is coming up on 2 months since I started a total redo of the engine compartment on my '62. I'm getting down to small details and I want to make sure everything is done correctly so I'm asking for some assistance.
At present I have 2 10 gauge wires, each attached to the left and right valve covers respectively. If I'm not mistaken these are ground wires. Some 20+ years ago I used an "O" type connector to attach the wire to the valve cover. Now I want to be as original as possible, but I can not find any mention of these ground wires in any parts book or pics. Were these put on before I got the car or were these wires original to '62?
Second, What is the correct placement of the caution sticker on the expansion tank?

My 62 still has the original wiring (which I'll replace I promise). The ground wires have "O" terminals and attach to the valve covers on the inside, rear mounting screws.
You can see them here. The passenger side has 2 ground wires, the second wire coming from the radio mounting bracket if I remember correctly.
