You could search the archives here for frame swapping info...thats what I did when I bought a 79 roller to replace my '66 rotted frame, and convert to disc brakes. There are pdf's for each year, and you can compare them yourself.
I have some pdf's listing the chassis dimensions, body mounts locations etc. Basically the later the frame the more stuff changed....

Uh, the 66 had 4 wheel disc brakes. A rotten frame I can understand though.
Thanks for the info, I will watch this closely as I too have a rotten 66 frame and a solid 78 frame waiting to be cut and pasted into my 66.
Correction after viewing these files, my extra frame purchased as a 78 is actually a 68-73 frame. It had a factory fuel line including a return line so I suspect 71-73. Any opinion's on that?
