Knock sensor

I am installing a modern EFI unit on my 63'. While not mandatory, I want to add a knock sensor. The challenge is with my solid lifter valve train possibly setting off the sensor with false readings. I have to change out my stock 461x FI heads for some vortec heads anyways and was thinking maybe some roller tip rocker arms would quiet things down a bit. I've also heard that you can wrap some Teflon tape around the threads of the sensor to desensitize it a bit. Thoughts & suggestions please.

The later production knock sensor location monitors the frequency/amplitude of detonation noise emanating from the cylinder walls; it won't "hear" the valvetrain.

Maybe thats also why the ks mount down low in the water jackets?
