Default Sidepipes refinished

I took the advice of a few members here and repainted my side pipes. Here's a few pics. I'm happy w/ the results. Shemp

Looking good What did you use? Heat resistant paint?
Did you blast the pipes before paint?
I am asking beacuse on my 911 wtin turbo i have been thinking of taking off the pipes and either sandblast and paint them or sandblast and have them ceramic coated.
There is one in my Corvette club that is coating pipes so he told me he could do them

But if heat resistant paint holds i think i just paint them.

Shemp , Nice looking job !
Not sure what process. I used ceramic paint from Advance Auto.
When I did mine I started the Vette let it idle for 10 minutes. Then off ten minutes. Started again let run 20 minutes and cool for another 20. Ran for 30 minutes let cool for 30 minutes. Drive around normally for 30 minutes and let cool for 30.
Then I was good to go. That was last year and they still look great ! They did smell for a while for driving, it was a little unnerving...The smell will go away.

Thanks guys, I sanded the stainless w/ steel wool and used a wire wheel on the upper portion. I painted the upper portion w/ POR-15 and the stainless w/ VHT ceramic sray paint from Advance Auto. Shemp

How long do you think the heat resistant/ceramic paint will last?
