simple to replace.just take you're time....
remove the door panel then the 2 lower metal access door panels (about 4-5" sq.).remove stanless trim on top of door, and end cap...
roll window up about half way.
undo bracket, bolts.
roll window up and pull out.(off the tracks--memorize the roller locations)
watch the phillips head adjusting screw on the lower door on the door jam side.
(for adjusting effect)
be care..be very careful if -when-you're removing the stainless trim around the glass window.and the lower glass window track runner .(i've used wd-40 or similiar, and a razor knife to seperate the glass)
reverse the process, set the adjustment screw, testing the window up and down..and take you're time..
hope this helps.
good luck.

Reason: word
I do not have the book, but I need to get one. I bought the 1958 Corvette reprint manuel and it didn't help too much. I was able to get the window out tonight and the frame off the glass. I took several pictures of the door as I took it apart. 30 years of sitting in that barn was not too good for the movements inside. But after some oven cleaner and spray white grease they work real nice. Thanks Jerry
In a previous post linked below Frankie the Fink posted a pdf of a solid axle door insides that has been helpful to me on many occasions. It is post reply 13. It may help a bit. There are also lots of other posts I have read that will help. The search feature is not the best sometimes, but its always worth trying, because old posts are full of valuable info.
