I don't know what I did to cause it but I experienced something really weird in my 66. It's a 427 - 390 with a tremek.
I was in 2nd gear going fairly slow (maybe too few rpm?) and when I went to accelerate the car started literally lunging, 6 - 8 times. Tires would screech on each cycle. I couldn't tell if the screeching tires was from acceleration or engine breaking. I was not going any faster just kind of in a cycle of lunges. Really weird.
Never experience anythin' like it in all my born days.
Otherwise the car runs fine. It was the first time that ever happened.
Anyone out there know what was going on?
As always, I appreciate your time and opinions.
Thanks
Joe

That does sound exactly like the "I'm going too slow in the wrong gear when I gave it a little gas" behavior I've experienced in my dad's 71 big block.

Operator malfunction.
Reminds me of a 'puter acronym,...picnic,...problem in chair, not in computer.
Have a great pumpkin weekend!!
