Default TCI front end

Awhile ago I posted a question about a disk brake/power steering on my 61. I got a lot of positive input on TCI, but I have not got all the answers I wanted from them. I was wondering if anyone had a side to side measurement for disk brake to wheel. Is it close to stock track wise? Did you run the strutless tube type lower a-arms. Is stock or 2" dropped spindles best. I like the car lower, but not to the point it drags or damages stuff. It is a rebuilt, damaged car so I'm more concerned with drivibility that originality. The car should have been scraped, but I was able to save it. I really appreciate everyones honesty and concern for our classics.
Thanks, Zeke

i have a TCI IFS on my 62. unless thy have changed their a-arm lengths since i did mine, the front track is about 2" narrower than stock. to make up for this i have used a 1-1/2" spacer/adapter on each front wheel to widen the track to something visually pleasing to me.

i have the standard drop, i think the 2" drop would be too much for my taste. i think you would also have to lower the rear to keep some sense of proportion, unless you like a lot of 'rake',

Bill, your 62 looks like it sits just right. I regret having to use spacers. TCI finally got back with a 56.5" track width. I'll have to think about this for a bit, before ordering.
Thanks, Zeke

Default spacers

Bill, thanks for the picture. I think I'm going to contact Jim Meyers and find out the track on his set up. It's about $700 more...we'll see.
Thanks again, Zeke
