Default 1963 split window Look-alike

Just back from SEMA in Vegas and there is a company building a car on a C6 drive train that is modeled after the 1963 split window Vet.
It's called the Rossi 66

Take a look and go into the design gallery to see actual pictures

VERY COOL !!!

Wow, I got back from SEMA 2 weeks ago. Walk home?

Was that the silver one outside with the faux knockoff wheels?

It's okay, but I've seen SWC update bodies for the C6 that look better, that is to say more like the original.

Main problem with this one is the front end. As ****-poor and squinty an interpretation of the C2 "face" as the new Camaro is of the original '69 IMO.

While none of them look like a "real" midyear I think this one has better proportions.

Saw that one and the 67 roadster in person at Carlisle this past August. They look "chunky" and the windshield angle is all wrong. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't accept one if it were given to me.

the problem with this one, like the 62 version someone makes, is the slant of the windshield and the width of the body make it seem 'fat' and out of proportion as we're used to seeing.

but, if someone gave me one, i'd take it...

I believe I saw an episode of Chop, Cut, Rebuild on Speed TV that showed a shop fabricating the prototype of a car like this. They said they intended to use it to manufacture and sell kits for the mods. I wonder if this car came from that effort, or was from someone else with the same idea.

CHOP CUT REBUILD the tv show is also doing a c6 body like a 63 split widow. But I still like the looks of the conv 67 better.

One of the participants in the National Road Tour to the NCRS National Convention in Charlotte back in July had one - a silver coupe - looked terrific!

Front end reminds me of a new Camaro, but I like the rest....

Retro styling is a dead end. I shows a lack of original thinking and the use of others work.
