I bought a hard top for my 59 off of ebay that I knew had to be rebuilt. Paid $2000 for it and put in another $1500 with new rubber, some glass, barrel bolts (those little baubles are expensive) some new retainers and stainless. If I had to do it over again, I'd contact Glassworks and see what they are getting for a fully restored top. I've seen their work and it's top shelf.

Paid $500 for my first hardtop for my 59 in 1976, bought it from Stoudt Auto in Reading Pa. I remember the transaction because the guy wanted $500 and I negotiated it to $450, then he said at $450, he had to charge me sales tax of, you guessed it, $50 (all cash deal). I was young and stupid and wanted that top, so I paid it. Best lesson I've ever learned. Worth the $50.
