Did Chevrolet ever have a service/shop manual just for engines and in particular the 327's? I have the car manuals for 61, 62 and 62 suppliment but want to go into more detail.
If anyone was to recomend the 2 or 3 best manuals for stock engines, what would they be?

"A good book that you need is Rebuilding the Small Block Chevy by Dave Vizard....." as I was schooled on my first thread here on the forum....
"Also learned is to pay particular attention to installing the timing chain & gears, because when you line the dots up, you are NOT at the #1 firing position. You are at TDC on the exhaust stroke of #1. Even Vizard's book is not too clear on this."

You're also at TDC on the compression stroke of #6 when you're "dot-to-dot".
