I have a 1963 Corvette Convertable that was starting fine. Now it turns over fine with new battery, but wont start. Seems to be getting fuel as I can smell fuel, but want start. Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions to help. Thanks very much in advance!
you say it WAS starting fine - what changed, besides the battery? battery would NOT normally be the reason for not starting, if that is the only item that changed in the equation
If it's cranking and not starting try a jumper across the ballast resistor; if it starts, replace the resistor; don't leave the jumper on as you'll burn-up your points.
Thanks very much guys for recommendations. I replaced all the plugs today, still didnt start, so i will try the resistor tomorrow and see if it works....
