My GS replica with a 1969 date stamped L88 engine and Muncie M21 trans has a couple of minor leaks and I'm trying to find out where I can get the following...
- Upper and lower valve cover gaskets
- Oil PSI gauge fitting seal
- Transmission shift fork linkage seals
- Oil pan reseal gasket
I'm also looking for torque specs and replacement procedure for the lower valve gaskets.
Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't know much about big block engines. What do you mean by upper and lower valve cover gaskets? I would have thought each valve cover would take a single gasket.

Is it one thick gasket or two together?

It could be two gaskets cemented together OR one thick Fel Pro gasket. I have done this to give additional clearance to avoid the tall roller rocker adjusting nut (aka poly lock) hitting the inside of the valve cover.
I hope this answers your question.

Melting Slicks
I may have put valve cover spacers on that car to clear roller rockers. I'm not sure. I'v built to many cars to remember small details. If there is a spacer then there would be 2 sets of gaskets. Look to see if there is about a 1 inch spacer between the bottom of the steel valve cover and the top of the head. if there is then it's 2 sets of Blue Felpro gaskets.

I believe that someone makes taller stamped steel covers that look like the originals but will clear roller rockers. Other option is two gaskets together but that can lead to oil leakage issues. You will also have to keep an eye on bolt tightness with that much gasket thickness to deal with.

All done. As soon as I can get the pedal to talk to the ECU, I'll be driving it. The engine compartment almost looks too bare now.
All new fuel system (using -8 to and from the engine). Completely re-wired the car....I think we removed about 10 lbs of excess wire. I didn't need the tilt wheel, power windows, power seats, AC, heat, or stereo....too much weight. Very clean under the dash now.
Can't wait to hear and drive it!

Thank you Jim and Sam. I also installed my new slick-shifted TKO600 road race gearbox, which is lighter than the one that was in the car. It also has a more usable fifth gear. New spun aluminum bell housing with Ti inner liner, aluminum flywheel and twin disk clutch. I'm building an adjustable clutch pedal stop for it today, so I can't over-stroke the throw-out bearing in the heat of battle.
The amazing thing (about LS engines) is that I've done all of this work without draining a drop from the cooling system....
Once she's on the road, I'll take it to some scales.
