Default Rusty Core Support

Who here has repaired their core support? I'm sure they all rust the same. Does anyone make repair pieces? Has anyone bought a core support from Coffman Corvette? I think they used to make repair pieces but the website doesn't list any pieces just complete core supports.

Looks like Caledonia has parts in their volume X catalog (pp 32).

What are you looking for?

I bought a new 63' FI core support from Coffman's. Pricey but exact reproduction. I think Zip may sell some weld in pieces for the supports. I didn't want to take the time and effort to fix mine since such an exact reproduction was available..........

I bought one 4 years ago from Paragon Corvette reproductions. It was a perfect match for my rusted out original. Expensive but putting sections together seemed like to much work.

It's rusted on the bottom formed channel where the horns mount. I guess I don't mind piecing it out if I can buy the correct sections. This is going to be a late winter/early spring project so I don't even have it out yet. We will see how bad it is once it is out. Since Coffman is about 1 hour away I was hoping to take the support with me when I go and if it doesn't look doable I would just get a new one. I just like to save the original parts if at all possible. Thanks for the input.

The plan is starting to come together. Tom Dewitt has just announced the Group Purchase. The radiator is piece number one and the core support is second. Anybody got any ideas on horns, I need one. Correct number would be nice but I can only imagine how expensive they are.
