Has anyone sold their car to ProTeam? How are they to deal with?
Thanks
Can of worms! ProTeam has been discussed many times on this Forum. You have those who are negitive and those who are positive. Do your homework and it never hurts to see what they come up with right...

You will hear everything about them here both good and bad. I would give them a shot as it can't hurt, all you are out is a little time. Let us know how they are. Good luck.
I think many of the "stories" you hear about Pro Team are repeated by folks "piling-on" who have never actually dealt with them, but want to increase their post count. I've sold two cars to Pro Team over the years, and both were quick and easy transactions; their driver showed up with a trailer and a cashier's check, and the cars were gone; no drama, no issues.

A few years ago I had a high option AIR 67 coupe & tried to sell it on the open market. Had alot of people look at it an offer a few thousand less. I had a call from Terry's buyer Tom & he came over looked at the Corvette & wrote me a check for the amount I was asking. I have also bought cars from them with no problem.

I agree with Ken and John, if you are a seller, it is a very easy transaction. They send a buyer out and if the car is what they want, they make an offer. If you decline they say thanks, keep us in mind, and go on their way. They do not nit pick the car like a lot of buyers try to .
Bought a car off Pro Team the window information said a good driver. When I took it out of the container it wouldn't start I replaced all leads and plugs it finally started and seized after one minute at idle. I had to pull the motor and re build the entire motor ! That's not what I call a good driver ! Terry and myself agreed to disagree so that was the deal I got I blame myself for buying a car sight unseen in another country just another learning curve in life...... Stewy
I have sold them three corvettes. They gave me a fair price ( not all the money) showed up with a trailer and a check. I have also referred several cars to them. They wrote me a very fair finders fee check with no hassels. I have no problem with them.
Seriously though, I think Pro Team often gets a bad rap...you simply can't please some people. However in your case that was a pretty crummy deal IMO.
I'm one of those people you can't please. I ordered a bunch of parts, sent them the money and never received a single thing because "someone" was headed to the gray bar hotel. There have been several documented counts of mis-represented cars being sold as original. No way would I buy from them and would only sell to them if they handed me cash. With the bankruptcy history, a check would be out of the question.
Well Stewy and Jim have two painful stories. I did meet a fella and his wife at last year's Kissimmee NCRS meet with a decent '59 (a Pro-Team purchase) which I did give a cursory look over. Fella never said what he paid (and I didn't ask) but he seemed satisfied and the car was solid with a few minor incorrect items. Maybe he was lucky -- who knows ?

Maybe mine slipped through the cracks without anyone noticing it didn't start. The funny thing was 2 leads were in half maybe they thought it was a flinstone car LOL. I can laugh about it now but boy was I upset at the time ! It even had the front nose cone split with huge cracks in the joins but when I asked about the cars body there was no sign of any obvious cracks hehehehe I must of been damn stupid to believe someone over the phone 10,000 mile away. I blame myself but it would of been nice to receive a car from the biggest seller of classic Corvettes in America in the condition that was stated that was my beef with Terry ! Stewy
