Washer Pump Help
I've got everything working on my 65, except the windshield washer. The wipers work fine, on both speeds, but when I push the button in.......nothing. I have 12v on the brown wire with the key on, and with the wipers running, when I push the button, I see a zero ohm short to ground on the dark blue wire, so I assume my switch and wiring are good. I've got a couple of questions on further testing.
1. Does polarity matter on the 2 prong washer plug? I found the brown(hot) wire going to the lower prong.
2. If I have the pump on the bench without the wiper motor, and I apply 12v and ground to the 2 prong connector, should I hear the relay in the pump operate?
I appreciate any help somebody can give me......I really hate this electrical stuff.
