what is the trick for mounting the side window in the upper track with the mounting tape. i have tried various ways to install the window in the track with the tape but the window is to hard to insert in the track with the tape. any ideas???????
Before you try and put the tape on/in track, put it in without tape.
Roll up window and see the fit into the front/fuzzy, Mark it with a sharpie.
Check your mark, and put some tape on in place of mark, Remove the glass, upper track.
Now, make up a soapy mixture in a spray bottle, get a rubber mallet and some old carpet for cushion or use your lap/waist area. BE CAREFULL
It gets tricky now, spray glass, put tape on, insert into track.
Start tapping it onto track and slowly build tapping harder, harder until it seats.
check your tape and adjust accordingly.
Put track/glass back in car and roll up the window and see how it fits in the fuzzy, adjust if necessary.

There are different thicknesses of the window mounting tape and some are too thick. If your sure you have the right thickness tape, then lubing it with soapy water or silicon and taping it on with a rubber hammer should work. If the tape just plain looks too thick to work, it may be.
