Default what is it?

Going through the parts of my '63 project and I don't know what this is. I have many parts from many vehicles around here but I'm almost sure this came with the car.

Thanks, I installed the one in the second photo in the valley under the intake at the rear of the block. Where does this go? I've searched my manual and the web and can't seem to find the exact location.

All,

OK, I am confused! I have a '63 and there is nothing like what is in the first picture in the air cleaner base! I think that there was a spark arrestor added to the air cleaner base in '64, but I am also not sure if this is what is shown in the first picture.

So, what am I missing? Does someone have a photo showing where this part is installed on a car?

Thanks!

Jon

I know, 63 no arrestors 64's yes. From the pic it looks like the arrestor from an 64 L76 or L75. Remember i'm just guessing from the pic.

I do appreciate your help. I think we can put this this to rest that it's not part of this car. It may have been off her lawnmower for all I know. If I ever find out, I'll post the answer. Thanks again
