1966 dash pad replace

Default 1966 dash pad replace

How hard is it to replace the passenger side dash pad. What does it entail. Any info would be appreciated.. thanks

Default

Take out the glove box.
Remove radio and possibly the clock.
Remove center console.
Remove side panel.
Remove CLIPS, 7 on each side.
Use a flat blade screwdriver to spread open and pull out.
To install use pliers to squeeze in place.
The hardest ones are by the clock and radio.

Here is a picture and price from one of the suppliers.

Thanks sounds pretty simple...I don't want to put a new one in, I would like a survivor one in perfect condition,being the other one is perfect and my car is a survivor.. Know where I can get one without being raped???

NO i don't...post on the parts for sale section...someone might have one.

ask for pictures, CLOSEUPS so you can see a little better on what they are trying to sell.

Just a side note about those clips. As others have said using a small screwdriver to open them up some works great then I have used a small set of e-clip pliers to spread them the rest of the way for removal.

Make sure when you find a pad it is a 65-65 pad 63-64 pads have a different grain.
