My NEW headliner is developing some bubbles in a few locations.
Is it possible to inject with a syringe some sort of Glue and use a small roller to keep it from completely falling apart.
Oh. You might be able to inject some glue with a small needle and have it work. If it's a black headliner, the holes probably won't show. Any other color will probably not look so good. I'd be tempted to take the headliner out of the car, remove the vinyl, and reglue it completely.
That should not be happening after only 3 years. My 64 still has it's original 47 year old headliner and it still looks perfect after 1 repaint. I would talk to the supplier about that. Maybe some production issues with the glue they used. Pilot Dan
My Original liner was Vinyl so i put it back in Vinyl.
I've owned the car since '74
Re-read the link...The backing is the same as my Dec built car.

You probably know this but they changed the style of headliner at sometime during production to a Painted Hardboard type.
I think for Coupe's and Convertibles.

I could do that, but i'm just being lazy and don't want to put it on and drive there.
But i guess i'll bite the bullet and do that.
Did you use an adhesive when you installed it? If so, it might have reacted with the backing and caused the bubbles; the original headliner didn't use any adhesive at all - only the front, side, and halo moldings held it up in place.
