With a day off and finishing up my winter projects, I noticed a little brake fluid seeping from a bleeder, so I give it a little nudge to set it and the casting lets go around the bleeder. If that would have happened on the road, no rear brakes.
On the other side of the coin, found a rebuilt caliper half on flee bay for $30 a few minutes later, so all in all not a bad set back.

Usually the bleeder screw will break off first. Maybe that happened in a previous life to this part and it was drilled and tapped which caused a weakness in the casting. That's the best I can make up on short notice. Pilot Dan
