Default Capacitor question 66

Just installed new wiring harness and I'm not sure where to hook up the capacitor mounted on the brake/clutch bracket under the dash. Also one mounted on the top of the instrument panel. Any help would be great!

This should show you the one on the dash, to get things started.

Or at least where it plugs into the harness.

Photo below shows the brake light switch capacitor on a '67 - yours mounts on the outside of the bracket, as shown in your Assembly Manual in section U69, sheet A5. There are three more capacitors on the back of the cluster, shown on the same sheet.

That's it!! So it shares the same wire as the switch?

Yup - each "flag" on the capacitor goes in the switch connections.
