Default Holley 3810 date code

I've seen a 3810 Holley that has 0616 date code. I thought original 66 carbs did not have a 0 in front. I also thought they ended them in 1975 so it wouldn't be March 1976.

Any ideas?

My understanding is that replacement Holleys have a 4-digit date consisting of 3-digit Julian date followed by the year... so it could be March 2, 1976.

All Holleys through 1972 had 3-digit date codes (year, month, week of the month); all Holleys after 1972 had 4-digit Julian date codes (day of the year, year). Any Holley on a Corvette with a 4-digit date code is a later Service replacement.
